Family

On Children’s Day Celebration.

Don’t you see that children are God’s best gift? These ones are blessings. Even the bible records that “Happy is the man that has his quaver full of them, they shall not be ashamed but they shall speak with the enemy in the gate”
Of the 7 systems that controls the world, family is a critical part of them and children are an integral element of the family.
Raising children is like planting seeds and waiting for a later date to harvest them and technically what you sow is what you reap.
Having children is pretty much easy because any fool can have a child as you don’t need a formal education or a particular kind of skill to be able to give birth to them but raising these children is where the work lies.
Because our little ones can’t be young forever, we as their parents, by all means, have to invest in their holistic wellbeing. Sending them to the best schools alone doesn’t translate to having well behaved kids, it might just be that you are using your own money to buy your misery.
Maybe if we had better parents, we would have less evil in our society. Just maybe.
The children won’t by themselves force themselves into this world (I’m sure some of them won’t even dare it) but we do all we can to ensure we have them and for some parents, they’d prefer to have them in their numbers. That’s great but don’t just use faith to bring children into this world and be saying “God will take care of them”.
Of course, God will but what structures have you put in place to let God’s provision manifest. As a matter of fact, your lack of planning will frustrate channels through which God’s provision will come. God is a master planner so you must be too because as He is, so we are in this world.
If you don’t have the means there is to raise a child (emotional, financial, spiritual and what have you) , for the love of God, WAIT. Just wait a little more.
If you are concerned about your biological clock, just remember that there are thousands of children in the foster care that you can adopt and nurture too. And who says being a mother means you have to have a biological child(ren)? Have you not read about Mother Theresa?
Every child deserves all the parental care they can get because the world has enough toxicity in it. These children need strong systems to be able to detoxify all the toxicity they must have picked up from school, churches (this too, but the gist is for another time) etc.
My constant prayer for parents and yet-to-be parents is “That our sons may be as plants grown up in their youth; that our daughters may be as corner stones polished after the similitude of a palace” – Psalms 144:12
Our children are not fragile like flower, they are fragile like a bomb, so handle with care.
Happy Children’s day!
